KATRI (Korea Automobile Testing and Research Institute) has presented drafts of the KMVSS and KMVSS TP for vehicles equipped with automatically commanded braking and regenerative braking. The objective is to harmonize the requirements with UNR 13H Revision 4 Amendment 4. Additionally, a draft has also been presented for Autonomous Emergency Braking (AEB) systems in bus/truck/special purpose vehicles concerning the deceleration threshold in the warning phase. Major provisions of the drafts include the followings:

  • Stop lamps: Revise the deceleration thresholds for generating the stop lamp in the case of regenerative braking and/or automatically commanded braking
  • AEB for bus/truck/special purpose vehicle: Remove the deceleration threshold in the collision warning phase of AEB
